Mr. Rama Afullo

Rama Afullo is the Founder and CEO of Satlyt, a space infrastructure company building AI-driven edge computing and networking capabilities for satellites to enable secure, low-latency data services in orbit. Satlyt's AI turns satellites into Virtual AI Data Centers in Space.

Prior to founding Satlyt, Afullo was a Product Manager for Starlink at SpaceX, where he worked on scaling global satellite connectivity, and previously held roles at Google supporting AI startups and at Tesla, where he helped expand energy and telecommunications partnerships across emerging markets.

Afullo has a background in Mechanical Engineering and Business Management and began graduate studies in Space Systems Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, which he left to pursue Satlyt full time. His work focuses on the intersection of commercial space infrastructure, AI, and international cooperation, with a particular emphasis on enabling sustainable and locally led space ecosystems in Africa and other emerging markets.
