T.H. Vadym Boichenko

Vadym Boichenko began his career at the age of 17 working at Azovstal Iron and Steel works in Mariupol. There, he developed professionally and went from being a worker to a machinist instructor of heat traction teams to the Director of Personnel and Social Affairs of Ilyich Iron and Steel works of the Metinvest Group.
In 2015, the collective of the enterprise nominated Boichenko to serve as a candidate for Mayor of Mariupol. Boichenko was later elected as the Mayor of Mariupol, winning over 74 percent of the votes.
Vadym Boichenko became one of the most successful mayors of Ukraine. The interests of the residents are always his first priority. This is exactly what helped to create opportunities in Mariupol for everyone who wants to reveal their unique potential in the city. He began the dynamic reloading of Mariupol. In just a few years, the front-line and industrial city turned into a bright and promising magnet city. In 2020, Boichenko was elected for a second term and his party Block of Vadym Boichenko won the largest number of votes.
Boichenko graduated from Pryazovskyi State Technical University and got his Master’s degree in Business Administration too. He was also trained at the French business school INSEAD that is the leader in Business education. In 2021 Vadym Boichenko defended his research paper on the topic “Social infrastructure in the system of providing human development of the city” and get PhD in Economics.
