Group Captain (Colonel) Jonathan Farrow

Commissioned into the RAF as a Navigator, Jonathan Farrow was initially posted to the Tornado F3 where he undertook numerous overseas operations policing the Iraq Southern No-Fly-Zone and NATO’s Eastern Flank. A Qualified Weapons Instructor, he commanded the Tornado F3 Weapons School and the Tornado F3 Flight in the Falkland Islands. Converting to the Shadow R1 in 2017 he has amassed almost 3000 hours flying of which over 2500 are on Fast Jets. He has completed numerous Staff tours, both at HQ AIR and the UK Home Office in addition to positions within the French Air and Space Force Operations Command, and Central Staffs. He has also undertaken several overseas operational command tours.He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master's in Science and Space Studies and completed his advanced Staff Studies at the École de Guerre in Paris. Following completion of a secondment to Airbus Defence and Space, Space Systems in 2023, his current position is the Deputy Director, Strategy, Futures, Partnerships and Requirements within the US Space Force HQ, Washington DC.
