Alex Lasry

Alex Lasry is the Chief Executive Officer of the NYNJ Host Committee for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, leading regional planning and coordination as the NYNJ area prepares to host eight matches, including the Final.  He brings extensive experience in government, sports, and tourism, most recently serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Travel and Tourism at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Previously, he was a senior executive and part owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, helping transform the franchise into an NBA champion and industry leader. Lasry holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and NYU Stern.
