Aba Kwawu

Aba Kwawu is the Founder and CEO of TAA PR, a nationally recognized communications agency specializing in luxury lifestyle, fashion, hospitality, entertainment, and culture. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., TAA PR works across the U.S. and internationally, shaping brands through strategic storytelling, immersive experiences, and cultural relevance.

Born in Ghana to academic parents, Aba brings a global perspective to her work. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and began her career in cancer genetics at Georgetown University’s Lombardi Cancer Center before pivoting to fashion and communications. She later earned a master’s degree from the University of the Arts London College of Fashion.

Before building TAA PR full time, Aba served as a professor at Howard University, teaching fashion merchandising and marketing while launching her agency. Over more than two decades, she has led communications for globally recognized brands and cultural institutions including Cirque du Soleil, Gordon Ramsay North America, Marcus Samuelsson, Wolfgang Puck, Chanel, Gucci, Rosewood Hotels, CityCenterDC, Tysons Galleria, and international partners such as the Embassy of Monaco.
